BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2001--James R. Mellor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of USEC Inc., announced today the appointment of W. Henson Moore and James D. Woods to the Board of Directors.
W. Henson Moore is President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA). A member of Congress from 1975 to 1987, he represented the 6th Congressional District of Louisiana. Moore also served as Deputy Secretary of Energy (1989-1992) and in 1992 became Deputy Chief of Staff for President George Bush. Immediately before joining AF&PA, Moore was a partner in the Washington Office of Bracewell & Patterson, a Houston law firm, where he worked largely on natural resource and environmental issues.
James D. Woods is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of CONEMSCO, a distributor of oilfield equipment and supplies in North America with revenues of approximately $3.7 billion. Prior to joining CONEMSCO in 1997, Woods was Chairman, President and CEO of Baker Hughes, Inc., a leader in oilfield services, positions he had held since 1989. He is on several other corporate boards, including Kroger Corporation, Varco International, Inc. and Wynn's International, Inc.
